Commercial invoice, bill of lading or airway bill, packing list, and any permits. You will also need an active Click2Clear account and a completed C44 so we can act on your behalf.
We classify & file
Licensed brokers assign tariff codes, prepare the entry, and coordinate with Bahamas Customs and other agencies as required.
Duties assessed — you approve & pay
Import duty, VAT, and brokerage fees are presented clearly in your portal before you authorise payment to proceed.
Release anywhere in The Bahamas
Once cleared, arrange pickup, delivery, or onward dispatch — including Family Islands and Out Island destinations we coordinate for you.
An active Click2Clear account is required before we can clear your goods.
Click2Clear is the Bahamas Customs Department’s online system. Shop N Ship cannot file entries on your behalf until you are registered — but once you open a client account with us, we will guide you through it and remind you if anything is still outstanding.
What you need to register
Every client — corporate, small business, or individual — must have their own Click2Clear profile before clearance can begin.
- Companies: business licence, TIN certificate, and authorised representative details as required by Bahamas Customs
- Individuals: valid NIB Smart Card (residents) or passport / driver’s licence (non-residents)
- Registration is completed directly with Bahamas Customs — not through Shop N Ship
How we help after you sign up
Open a Shop N Ship client account and our team will walk you through the rest — you do not have to figure out Click2Clear and brokerage paperwork alone.
- Step-by-step guidance on completing your Click2Clear registration
- Help preparing your C44 client authorisation for our brokers
- Reminders in your client portal if Click2Clear or documents are still needed
- A licensed broker available by phone or email once you are onboarded
Already registered? Open your client account and tell us your Click2Clear login ID during onboarding — we will confirm you appear in the system before we file your first entry.

Have these ready to avoid delays at assessment:
- Commercial invoice (supplier details & line items)

What is a C44 and why do I need one?
The C44 is the client authorisation that appoints Shop N Ship as your licensed customs broker. It allows our brokers to file entries, respond to Bahamas Customs on your behalf, and act on your account for clearance purposes. We guide you through completing it when you open a client account.
Who do you typically work with?
Most of our clients are corporate and commercial importers — contractors, retailers, hospitality groups, and trading companies. We also support small businesses and individuals who need proper brokerage, not just a mailbox address.
Do you clear shipments outside Nassau?
Yes. We coordinate clearance for imports arriving at major gateways and arrange release or onward movement anywhere in The Bahamas, including Grand Bahama and the Family Islands.
How long does clearance take?
Timing depends on the mode of transport, completeness of documents, whether exams or agency approvals are required, and Bahamas Customs processing. We work proactively to limit delays — but final release times and duty rates are determined by Bahamas Customs and partner agencies, not by the broker.
How do I verify Shop N Ship is a licensed broker?
You can confirm our listing on the official Bahamas Customs Department broker listing. We are happy to answer any due-diligence questions during onboarding.
